I’m a strong believer in good service. Before I choose someone to wallpaper my house, fix my car or DJ my party, I want to know I feel comfortable with them and that they are going to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I, the customer, am happy with the end result.
When looking for a wedding venue, there are plenty of criteria we need it to meet; is there space to seat all my guests, is it a beautiful setting, will they cater to all my family’s dietary requirements? But most of all, I think you should get a real sense that they are going to look after you and give you the very best service possible.
I have taken my experience of Leicestershire wedding venues and from my privileged, behind-the-scenes viewpoint (just call me nosey) as wedding photographer, I give you a brief list of my favourites based on quality of service.
- Kilworth House Hotel – after my recent party of 8 groomsmen all admitted they didn’t know how to tie a cravat, we were all delighted when a member of the hotel team offered to help the boys with their buttonholes and even re-tie their cravats too.
- Shearsby Bath – I have always felt the team here go to great lengths to ensure the smooth running of the wedding days of their couples. Great attention to detail and a real feeling that you are important to the wedding team.
- Sutton Bonington Hall – Mark and Hayley had only one son when they married at Sutton Bonington Hall. But when they had their second son and wanted to add to their wedding photos with a full family shot at the same venue, they were welcomed back like old friends.
